Got the November RAM mint issue today with the ballot form for the 2014 Kangaroo at sunset.. Trying to decide if this coin is worth paying over double spot.
Its one of my favourite RAM designs (although a little over produced) but Im not sure I want a depreciating coin.

If you look back, the earlier ones did alright but the later issues seem to have lost appeal for people. Well thats what I've gathered anyway.

    What do you guys think?

And yes, before anyone says it, I should have probably put this post in the gold coin section.

I have also been wondering if I should ignore the ballot. Three people in my family "won" the ballot - coincidence or general lack of applications? :)

A quick check on Ebay shows that the 2013 models are selling around $750, when they can be sold. Thats not much profit margin (with fees) if someone was looking to make a quick buck (unlike the earlier versions).

I prefer the look and feel of the old gold coins (sovs) so I think I just answered my own question :)

Price is higher than past years and resale values have been falling
