Post this sort of question in the Stocks & Derivatives forum. But have a look at these before you re-word your question: http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-3233-only-3-pure-silver-plays-on-the-asx.html as well as the blog from one of the SS members, hobo-jo. http://www.bullionbaron.com/2011/02/exciting-times-for-silver-asx-silver.html
Hobo-jo is amazing!!!! Take a look at his webpage 'Bullion Baron'. If you spend some time reading his previous posts and blogs you'll notice that he was advising others about the potential for companies such as CCU back in 2009. I think the shares were only 6c back then when he was talking about it. I only wish I had been switched on to shares and PM's back then! I feel extremely fortunate. This forum is filled with some many very well researched and intelligent individuals who generously share their thoughts and opinions for free. After spending my days working in an office where the most important point of discussion is 'Glee' or Charlie Sheen, its such a pleasure to get home to join a community of people who actually care about what is happening in the world around them!
i in the same boat as you, but am waiting for correction/consolidation because they have all had a great run recently, esp CCU and SVL. Evertime i have bought shares after a stellar run they have only dropped down straight after (correction/profit taking). Im not sure AYN hasnt gained as much, especially when they look like they'll be producing first. Maybe people are put off because they hedged a portion of their first production at $27 or maybe they have less in ground resource than the other 2.
I'm interested in this as well. I bought CCU in the 40s, and again in the low 50s in the recent dip but sold out too early in its recent rally. Didn't think it would go much higher and wanted to go back if it retraced but it didn't retrace and just continued creeping up everyday! Now I want to get back into a silver stock but can't decide which one. I'm thinking AYN or SVL since CCU has gone up quite abit and might still retrace in the future. That thread by hobo-jo is excellent and he provides a very good analysis as usual but I'd like to get some fresh perspectives with the recent rallys and so forth. Wonder what his views are now? We need you again hobo-jo
Found this on CCU company website, great read for those who havent read it already.. http://www.ccrlimited.com.au/pdf/CCU_Initiation_Report_Feb11.pdf
I'm wanting to get into ARD, even at 24c, but i've gotta unload something else first. Perhaps CCC as it's tanking. Bloody coal miners
Mate I'm a bit of a noob with the stock exchange, care to explain what the USN allocation means? I know USN bought a portion that ARD used to own right? Do current share holders automatically get issued with USN shares? Do I have to fill out any forms or apply?? Might top up this week if it's automatic. Glad I avoided CCC for the moment, was going to buy at ~8c as all the stock forums were pumping it to the max but seeing a lot of red lately
I got in at .073, and watched it drop, but not too far to activate a stop. It's now bouncing (i hope) off previous resistance at about .066. I think it'll be okay over the coming month. I'll be out at .085 which is lower than the previous top. I think AYN, ARD and JML are still worth getting into now. They've all come off from previous tops atm.
Hmm... all the silver stocks getting sold off the past few days. Are people expecting a pull back in silver spot price after the recent rally or something? Could be a good time to top up or buy in!
Bloody AYN director selling a few million dollars worth of shares after the huge rally what a buzz kill. I agree another good buying op. Go long hut hut hut!
No more captial, had 5% wipped of my charts today. Swapped AYN for CJO, shrugs - it hurt but ill live.
