Instead of buying platinum coins or bars would be buying platinum rings be a good alternative?

    What are your thoughts.

950 means pure platinum right? Where as gold jewellery is often not pure. I rarely see 24k jewelry.

    950 means 95% pure

All jewellery comes with massive massive mark-ups.

If you were able to purchase Platinum Jewellery near a price which was similar to Bullion then perhaps might be a good idea.. jewellery also incurs GST which bullion dosent - less relevant for Platinum which has a gst component added anyway.

Oh I see. Its true.. The mark ups are huge. I can sometimes get sterling much lower than spot but have never seen platinum even close to spot.
