Perth Mint 20oz bar, vintage style. I am surprised to see how thin they are compared to other vintage bar...thinner than all of 10oz perth mint bar. [imgz=http://forums.silverstackers.com/uploads/7352_pm20.jpeg][/imgz]

Oh. My apologies. It's just if I stayed close to Perth Mint, I would visit every single day to see their buy backs. Definitely bound to find a vintage bar at normal price.
Pics added, also with these old bars, obviously more sought after because there are not that many of them. Is there a collection of these at the mint? Like a museum?
that's a really nice bar Chris, no, i don't think perth mint collect them, i just went there this morning.
You would think the mint would keep examples of older bars on display, a lot of history is lost or destroyed, kind of a shame......
If I'm not wrong, I read somewhere that they get tax relief for melting down old bars? Not sure if I dreamt of this. Haha!
Some Perth Mint 50oz bars: Left is 111x54x25mm, right is 112x56x23mm. Definitely different casting moulds and processes - the left has a cooling dimple which the modern production bars don't have.
Here is a 1kg bar I got a couple of years ago, it has the current stamp but the finish is rather unique (swirls instead of the flat dull finish). Nothing like any other current 1kg bar I have seen pictures of. Does anyone have anymore info about them? I have a few like this but this is the pick out of them. Source:
PM's website says no, do not sell. However considering it is on the LBMA Good Delivery Lists, I would have thought they would. Maybe Bron can help ?
