After doing a bit of reading on here i noticed my brand new 1oz bar that i got a week ago, has different packaging to the others posted on here.

its a C serial bar with the logo/branding centered on the front of the bar and there is no signature on the back.

is this a recent change by Perth Mint to combat counterfeits?

The size of the bar looks right ( thin not thick) and it came from an approved Perth Mint bullion dealer....so i think its OK but the packaging differences has left me wondering....

    all feedback welcome

Post some photos and we can give you some appropriate feedback. If it's from a reputable dealer I wouldn't worry at all

Watch this vid from the good folk at Bullion Now. It's a Perth Mint unboxing of minted / certicard bars.

Is worth watching all but the part which will give you comfort (I hope) kicks in at 8min 45secs when they pull out and show a Perth 1oz certicard bar, C serial number and no assay sig......just stop and start to have a better look. If you bar looks like this, I'd sleep okay.

I had a similar concern a while back but after watching this, my concerns we allayed.

New vid from Bullion Now showing a couple of the newer fake Perth Mint certicards floating around the market.
