Obama authorizes airstrikes in Iraq to stop genocide and gold goes up

    Putting the information from the following articles together, it looks like a fracking well uses 5 million gallions of water over the life of the well. Sounds like a lot, but it is an average of only 1% of total water usage. Of course, the less water you have, the higher percentage is used for fracking. Lack of water, not water cost could be a future concern.

    Just found this interview with Wilber Ross. At about the 2 minute mark, he states that it takes about 2 barrels of water to produce a barrel of oil.

    Energy usage does not seem to be significant. I did a search and the only mention was diesel fuel to run the drilling rig.
