I was being told by the guy at Post Office that he just put an order for the NEW 50cent coin with Dragon on it. He said it's Perth Mint stuff, and coming next week, $12.50 each he show me the order sheet, I think it's from RAM...I don't know. ANyone know about this?

No, but if you include the Obverse and Reverse you must count all of the sides of the engravings ! This simple image may help guide you. http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f...urra/DRagon50centpiece16sides_zps40fe0f5a.jpg
There's always a kid somewhere who will rip it out of the packaging & spend it Don't think they are being released as circulating coin
Pity. I reckon an ongoing lunar series in circulation would be kinda cool. Certainly much better than some of the other dross they've put out as special editions.
This coin has been delayed and price raised from $10 to $12.50. What a bungle by RAM! The fact that a dragon coin was announced this late near the end of dragon year is a joke. When is RAM going to learn how to do things better? They took a step forward with a nice Southern Cross dome coin but took two steps backwards with this 50c dragon. For dollar to dollar value, their products cannot compete with the other Mint.
At $80 a go for their silver Kanagaroos....they can shove these 50 cents right where they have shoved their $1 kangaroos, right up their.......
What do you think about the 2013 Kangaroo. From my oustside australian view it looks like they are much too expensive and not very much will sell. Same for the 2012 (87AU$) kangaroo, that was more expensive than the 2013. I do sometimes have a look here into the sale threaths, and 2012 roos i have never seen. I germany the prices for the 2012 roos were falling within the last months at minimum 20-30% if they were offered in auctions. Dealers still have good filled stocks but do not sell under their own buyingprice so they are still sitting on their stocks. Are the new roos no longer popular because of the high price. Could that bring the future prices for this roos to much higher prices because of the low mintage or will it kill the roos in future. I like them very much and the new started 3 year series looks like fine. Also, what do you think about the new RAM series, startet with the saltwater crocodile "Bindi". Have not found any discussion here, so it also looks like not a lot of people are interested in.
