I'm starting to become a major silver bear with how things are going for the short term, anyone agree? I'm still a stacker in the long run but a realist in the short term.

It depends on what you mean by short term. The silver manipulation cannot be overdone as major paper price corrections produce massive physical buying which is not in their plan. It is likely that in the short term they are done and we should see higher prices. There will be further manipulation - no doubt, but I think that is likely to be later rather than sooner.

    Hi Silver,

I'm keen to hear your thoughts as to what makes you bearish on silver in the short term?
And also how long is shirt term in your view?
Love your channel & blog by the way.

    Cheers

I don't think we'll see much lower prices than we're seeing now, and if we do I don't think it will be any more than $1-$2 lower..I am buying all the physical bullion I can right now, I'd suggest everyone else do the same.

@Wrcmad: I am not giving financial advice, it's called discussing a topic that no one can be 100% sure about. We all are entitled to our opinions and I would like to discuss mine.

Phiber: Thank you for your kind words, I try my best to give people my honest opinion and encourage people to ask questions rather than to just listen to peoples answers. The reason I am bearish is because we are approaching the long term up-trend line that can be seen up until '10. If we smash through that and take out $26, hold onto your socks.

People will often make the claim that "silver is manipulated so charts don't matter." However, markets are moved by emotions, and people develop their emotions through watching the price action on charts. If these support lines are taken out, just watch the change in sentiment that will occur overnight. If everyone turns bearish under $26, there is nothing stopping the price from plunging to $20.

Please visit my other thread to discuss the possibility of a further correction here- http://forums.silverstackers.com/message-455427.html#p455427

My statement about financial advice had nothing to do with your opinion.
I actually agree with your chart analysis.
I love opnions, it allows me to see things from all perspectives. And, yes, we are all entitled to one. :)

Educated guess i'd say $25-27 range, i'd be in again if it dropped to $28 though.
I don't think the fiscal cliff noise will effect PMs prices too much, they'll sort it out.

??? Not your best work Yippee..

How am I pretending anything. Whether I have $1k or $10K to buy metals, I think its perfectly normal to want to the cheapest price possible no?

Oh that's right you're a little strange; you like to buy silver during parabolic moves instead
