Have you checked out the ANZ On Line Investment Account ? It tracks the ASX200. You can go in and out any day you like to lock in profits if you are into that. http://www.anz.com/personal/investing-super/shares-managed-funds/online-investment-account/
Listed Investment Companies are worth a look, some have lower costs than the index funds. Check out Australian Foundation (AFI), Argo (ARG), or Australian Leaders Fund (ALF) for starters. If you're looking for global index funds, State Street have a new "world ex-Australia" fund (WXOZ) that launched in March I think. http://www.spdr.com.au/etf/fund/fund_detail_WXOZ.html Rgeds
Thanks mate. The State Street fund is great but management costs aren't cheap. Cheaper than the Vanguard equivalent for sure (https://www.vanguardinvestments.com.au/retail/ret/investments/funddetailISF.jsp), but nothing on the Vanguard ETF version.
