Fairly new round here, but I have a large collection of banknotes, including an entire set of Australian Decimal Paper notes from 1966 onwards in aUNC to UNC condition bar 3. Have been collecting about 4-5 years now, just adding a new note every fortnight or so. The C/R $20 is around 3K uncirculated though so I've been holding off on that one haha. $20 Coombs Randall $1 DBP Test note (technically 2 if you want both types, which I do haha) $50 Knight Wheeler Center Thread. Other than that, I have a couple of proofs which I particularly like. but mainly notes.
Welcome! Nice I have a C/R but it is circulated so not sure if you would be interested in that.. I had 3 in sequence which brought a pretty penny
welcome josh, good job with the paper decimal notes, looks like you will have to start on the polymer notes. if you have trouble finding the remaining notes , shoot me a message,i have them in a/unc+ unc.
Joshtammi...Ahh...another note collector. I collect a few notes here and there, like you, I have one of the trial notes which was printed on the heavier paper (Double fold) Anyway...welcome to the forum.
Welcome! Banknotes are easier to store than precious metals. I have uncirculated polymers taken out of circulation, if they look in good nick I stick them in a folder. At one time I had 25 uncirculated, sequential, last prefix 2008 $100 notes, all perfect, catalogue value of $175 each, actual value of $100 each. I also collect hyperinflation banknotes, banknotes with overprints (revaluing and re-denominations) and Community Currencies from around the world. Starting to get too many but I can't help myself, fiat with an intrinsic value of $0, my guilty pleasure.
