2oz series 2, the first 6 coins would be worth far more than a complete Series 1 1oz set. A series 1 1oz set would sell for about $800 I'd say. A series 2 2oz first 6 coins have prices in this range: 08 Mouse $500 09 Ox $150 10 Tiger $120 11 Rabbit $75 12 Dragon $70 13 Snake $60 Total about $975 and I'd reckon that's worth more than a complete 1oz Series 1 set.
problem with the 2oz proofs they were "re-minted" but as the mint put it they come in a different package so they are "different" but dont get me wrong picked them up for a good price,I would
I've seen Series 1 1oz sets up for sale here for $900 with no takers. If you want to sell you have to sell at a price a buyer is wanting to pay, not a price the seller is wanting to sell at.
so u would sell yrs for $800? I dont think so..u'd sell it when spot goes back up and so does the price...
Even better. Unfortunately it would take some time for me to posses enough money. And it's probably quite expensive, since 2oz coins are rarer. EDIT: Even better than better "Only" 17 500$
Dammit went on a buying spree, got 5 rolls of lunar 2oz, wish i could get mouse at decent pricing lol
people are waiting for a better deals ... those who have memory think that year ago it was higher than $1000, now $900 ... if they wait they could get it at spot why? Because now it is not sellers' market but buyers' one
^ No I wouldnt sell a set for $800 but if thats the price the market puts on it then, thats it value.
agree as well one should remember that price for lunars went up with the spot ... and then followed down with the spot but decreased less (percentage wise) than spot
Not in the UK, if you are talking Aussie dollars you'd pay at least the equivalent of $1200,Germany more like $1500.I've seen the 1oz horse on 3 occasions this year make more than 85 or roughly $150 Aussie dollars.
It is a buyers market worldbubble but still, many coins are just not moving down as much as most buyers may hope if at all. In fact, just as one example, I've been closely following the first silver coin of the Perth Lunar 2 series...the Mouse. The average price actually moved up, especially from large USA dealers like APMEX....way up.
ML, when APMEX gets low in quantity, they jack up the price. Right now, they only have 2 Mice in stock. Currently, I have a roll for sale on ebay (through a client), but their coin photography may actually be worse than mine and that is saying something. And despite my giving them gloves, I noticed fingerprints on some of the capsules of the sample coins. I know I wouldn't buy a roll of coins when the coin in the sample photograph looks like it has defects and fingerprints. One of these days I need to take some lessons from TomD on how to photograph coins.
Hey Stark,if you are looking to make money buy Aussie RAM kangaroos and sell them in Germany, they make top money. Last week on ebay De a set of 14 Bu coins 1993-2006( in capsules but no cards ) one with bad toning made 641 euros and had 44 bids.
heres a 2oz mouse for you lol. Never knew they where so expensive http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2008-P-A...5878?pt=UK_Coins_World_RL&hash=item232a42cb66
