Hi everyone, great place with tonnes of info and everyone seems pretty friendly too so looking forward to a few discussions and seeing some nice pics! Been on a few forums during my time but never any precious metal forums, always been into collecting things that usually cost me an arm and a leg so hopefully the info on this site will get me making purchases where I can at least retain some value. Looking to get some info to start collecting cast, poured, vintage gold bullion at reasonable prices not "too" far above spot (I know the phrase "not too far above" is relative). Also looking for any recommendations for bullion in in or around Newcastle NSW, there is Newcastle Coins to check out but maybe someone knows of other places in the area they may like to share also? Hi buildn, Metal shops in the hunter ate pretty rare. Outside Newcastle coins you may have to stock with internet orders. There is a coin hair that happened regularly at Wallsend but I've never been. Glad another member from the hunter has joined up.
Hi, despite the name "Silver Stackers" there are plenty of gold stackers here and some nice pictures. I wouldn't mind buying some nice vintage bars but I would probably need to buy a magnifying glass to go with them, not sure I could afford much and the 1/50th ounce gold bar I have is pretty hard to see unaided...
That isn't always the case.i have bought quote a few 10oz coins there that were very competitively priced. It is luck of the draw sometimes and I think that his 1oz coins are priced similar to other areas. On the past I have resolved not to go back only to break my resolution and find a purchase that I was happy with.

Has anyone heard of these guys I found on a different gold site: Tonkin Scorer Menzies Level 3, ANZ Bank Chambers, 16A Bolton St Newcastle NSW 2300 There seems to be a few good deals right here in the buy, sell, swap section. Loving the rare, collectable and vintage bars thread too!!! Also one last question, how much is an Englehard 1oz valued at? 10% to 20% above premium?
I enquired about 4 years ago about that tonkin menxies place but got no response. I don't think it is an avenue for purchase.
