    Hi,
Just purchased a complete gilded set with the wooden box and 12 COA's. The gold plating does not look good on some of the coins.
Snake - an area on the snake body near the eggs is not plated and the outer lines exceeds its body (this is not a shadow).
Mouse - almost no gold plating on the edge of its tail.

Can you please share you opinions whether these imperfections are normal or not? I am about to return the set back to the seller. He claims that this is how the coins were minted by the Perth mint.

    Thanks, Gil

The ones I have/had are all perfect. Maybe someone sprayed them with gold colour? Gilded coins currently sell for much more than normal bullion, so that sounds like it might be worth someones effort.
CoA is probably even easier to fake than spraying the coins.

Thanks for the inputs. I contacted the seller and we try to sort this out, either he'll change those specific coins or he'll take the whole set back and refund me.
