I recently lifted a few cheap Georgian guineas while back in the UK. Does anyone else have any Guineas in their collection? What do you think of them?

I picked most of my gold up mainly through UK antiques shops and pawnbrokers. I got one of the guineas from an antiques shop in Kendal, and another from a pawnbrokers outside Chester. Both family buisinesses.

I've no intention of selling them as yet, maybe leave them as heirloom pieces, though I won't follow my family tradition of bending them into rings or putting a hole through them and using them as pendants!

And... I'm currently in London about to fly out to KL... I've missed my opportunity for treasure photography. I wish I'd took some pictures in my favourite jewellers in Chester, a place called Powells... Well worth checking out if you like your antique jewellery. I picked up a gorgeous masonic signet there a few years ago and always spend a little there whenever I'm back.
