Anyone got any knowledge / experience with this alternative blockchain technology? http://docs.bitshares.org/ Seems a few projects are using it. Seems to have better scalability and performance than others. It will be my research focus early next week so I'd appreciate any heads up or head start?
Just looking into it so far and trying to get my head around how/why it works and where it's being used.
Easy to understand basics - https://objectcomputing.com/resourc...arch-2017-graphene-an-open-source-blockchain/ and ecosystem map - https://followmyvote.com/understanding-the-graphene-blockchain-ecosystem/ 5 minute scan of them may help you to decide if worthwhile investigating further.
I've been deep-diving graphene technology and some of it's implementations over the last 2 days. I have to say that it is impressive. Very clever indeed. You've got in chronological order :- 1. Bitshares 2. Steem 3. PeerPlays 4. EOS Each of them has great potential. I might write about them a bit more next week once it's all sunk in a bit. For now my brain hurts.
Tonite I put a substantial sum into BitShares BTS. The deeper I look into it the more astonished I am that I did not come across it earlier. It is an incredibly powerful platform. You can trade all sorts of different cryptos and currencies within the one wallet via a decentralised exchange. It is the #12 ranked crypto by market cap but it's got to be a sleeping giant.
If you like charts, have a look at this one. BTS looking like the low is in and breaking out of the recent downtrend. Incidentally, the big run in early June was when BTS was listed on Chinese exchanges. Since then the Chinese Yuan has become the highest volume trading smart currency on the platform (about 4x that of the USD in the last 24 hours). http://cryptofresh.com/assets If they can get listed in Japan, Korea and/or India I reckon it will spike again. The Asians will love this technology.
