First Litecoin purchase.....help!!

Hi,
please excuse the complete newbie question.

I am just about to attempt to buy my first Litecoin....but i am a bit stuck,I have downloaded a wallet and found an a website to buy from but dont i need to Download a blockchain or file of some sort before I buy any.

And also dont i have to synchronise the wallet before I buy?

Any help would be really appreciated.

 

YeH synchro your wallet, no need for block chain
with prices now I would buy asap it can sit in the exchange over night if need be while your wallet synchronizes which could take 6 hours or more on a good connection...

I think if you click Profile up the top and look around, there's an option to set your location.

Either that, or you could in fact be located in Thailand. Check the window, are the women outside beautiful?
