    Hello,
I just purchased a 7 mace and 2 candareens kwang tung province coin off eBay.
I like imperial Chinese coins and have a couple already.
I did research on this coin and it says it should weigh around 26 grams.

The coin I received weighed 19 grams, is anyone aware of another example of this coin weighing this much?
Or is it true to my initial suspicions and a fake?

I paid a dollar for it and it has a pretty cool picture of a dragon on it, that alone is worth a dollar.

Just interested to hear your thoughts if anyone knows more about this coin.

I will post pics tomorrow if needed. But my gut feeling is that it is a fake.

But hey, its got a dragon on it.

    Thanks for your help.

19 grams is a typical weight for crown size counterfeit coins, I hope you weren't expecting to get the real one for $1 ?

no, I thought it was fake from the start but I took a punt because the seller was selling quite a few coins, a lot of them I could tell were real and she didn't seem to know what she had by the selling structure, pricing etc. So I am not disappointed.

My guess judging by the other coins she was selling is that she inherited or acquired quite a few and just wanted to get rid of them.
