I got 11 pieces since June. How? By metal detecting around my house and community.

Iv got $1 face value in 80% Canada silver, 2 sixpence coins, a silver kids ring and a 1964 Mexican PESO @10% silver.

    Yup I got skillz.

My metal detector only cost $160 shipped from amazon. Its the Tesoro Compadre.

I believe I saw him in 1992 during my 2 day stay in Christchurch. His face was a lot thinner then.

needler, that is a very international assortment of coins. Odd that you didn't find any US currency.

Nice finds I'm thinking of getting a metal detector myself and hit the beaches in my area. I want to get the water proof one that the guy in Hawaii found like 30 k worth of gold and silver with. (There was a link on here somewhere) but they're like a thousand bucks! Good to see you don't have to spend a lot of money to find stuff.

Stupid question, can u just cover the coils and pole with plastic and stick it ubder water?? Or does the viscosity affect the waves of the detector?

You can only stick the coil in. Almost all coils are water proof. But you can't submerge the box unless its made for a water machine. Have to be careful when it rains as well. I carry a plastic bag in my back pocket.

I live around all the beaches in FL but water detectors are a lot of $$ need like $500

I have about 50 of the pennies from stacking copper, the nickels are harder to come by and the dimes seem to be less common.

So do you look more like your Avatar or more like the Wizard of Christchurch?!

No need to answer as we all know there are no women on the internet.

I keep wanting to get a metal detactor but on the one hand I want to get one to detect gold nuggets (not that you really need a detector for gold nuggets in Australia as they are lying all over the ground anyway) and on the other I want to look for coins etc.

I am leaning towards getting one for gold nuggets as the chances of finding a hoarde of Viking money or Roman coins is pretty slim.

Is there much difference in the two, I heard there was but that was a long time ago and since the advent of modern technology I guess there might be a good all-rounder.

More like my avatar with the black pointy wizard hat.

And my detector is comparable with $500 dollar gold machines because of its high Frequency.

If you're looking for gold only my detector is perfect for that. Just register on some metal detecting forums and they will tell you the same thing.

How about 100 oz of free gold?

I was just browsing Bullion Deals NZ, found gold maples for $0000 each. Ordered 100 as quick as I could. everything processed as per normal.

Maybee I should have been greedier? I was like a little kid going WOW one HUNDRED ounces. Order was big enough to get free shipping even.

Order is still showing as it normaly would after submitted. I think I might have an argument on my hands tomorrow.

Prick just called to tell me they would not honor this deal, bummer

But if the shop discovers the mistake after you've made the purchase, it generally can't then ask you to pay more. [...] The only exception is if you knew the price was a mistake, but took advantage of it anyway. Under the Contractual Mistakes Act, a court could require you to pay the correct price.

Iv been into metal detecting now for 6 months and talk with a lot of the elites and sponsors. They say that and the Garrett ace 250 are the best machines in the $200-$300 range.

Also I can get it shipped to you my me or either sponsors for probably around $220 insured. Maybe even less. Its really the shipping that determines it as I can get it for $160.

I have feedback on other forums but not much. Mostly metal detecting sites and video game sites.

Throw me a half ounce round Id get it shipped to you for about $190 and insured.

I'm look into an exact quote soon shipped from a metal detecting company soon.
