It begs the question...what is he/she doing with a .3333 kg gold plated paper weight and why is she/he trying to palm it off as a "1 troy kilo" gold bullion coin? Any bets on what it reaches before someone intervenes?
If this was legit the seller would have already sold it to a real dealer. To be selling this on ebay it's either fake, a scam or stolen.
why are there 4 pictures of one side an 0 pictures of the other side ? surely if you are taking that many pictures you would take pictures of both sides Oh and this bit seals the scam..... But I'm sure some f*ckwit is going to bid and send them money thinking they are getting the bargain of a lifetime and then scream blue murder when they get scammed
I asked the seller this: Do you have pics of the back of the coin? And do you have pics of the coin on a weighing scale to show it's true weight? Thanks! He replied: i will put pics up tomorrow of the back of the piece, and i don,t have any scales....thank you.
digging around the history of items this seller has sold before. I also remember asking about her pennies she had for sale (pretty sure it's a her, whose father was a coin collector) http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261421299225 I asked for clearer photos of the 1930 but she refused to take it out of the coin sleeve for fear of "damaging or losing anything" obvious fake 1930 in the lot, which I pointed out to her. her response was that her "late father collected coins and he never had any fakes, so neeerrrrr, humph!" (I'm paraphrasing just slightly of course) sooo, either he/she is a total 'tard or a scam artist
I also left a message asking for a photo of the back, but s/he didn't reply. Someone should report this seller. I tried, but I can't figure out how to do it.
I have some reservations about the authenticity of those bids to date. Surely someone with with those sort of $$$ would have done just a tad of due diligence? 11 inquires to date, no additional pics posted. But then the green felt would be the game changer. The Holden hub cap would be a good buy if it was pick up...
Oh my days! It's an actual paperweight! I thought it was just a huge lump if gold, being so heavy it is refered to as "The paperweight" how can Perth mint even make this! What a cheap move.
I requested a picture of the other side and reported it as a replica coin not listed as a replica I would encourage you to do the same. people like this make it hard for honest people to sell on ebay
