hi unfunkable, orders placed over the phone will not be shown on Order History. I have confirmed this twice. Just need to wait for the dispatch email.

got mine today. ordered on release day 1st Sep. Very happy as that isn't bad considering how busy they must have been. Now it's the wait for the proofs. Hopefully early next week.
And yes I wasn't home but tracking number said attempted delivery at 9.10 am so I rang the post office and sure enough they are sitting there waiting for me. Apparently aae have an agreement with Australia post that any parcels that can't be signed for go to the Post office.

Well I missed the delivery, unsurprising as I was at work, now I have to drive to Brisbane Airport to collect them as they need permission from the Perth Mint to send them to my work, I might just give that a go!

Perth Mint won't change the address for free, they will charge you.

You can call Perth Mint and ask them to notify AAE to redirect the parcel, but it will cost additional $17.

Damn your last post gave me a glimmer of hope!

Well it is half an hour drive to the Airport, then I have to find the place, hope I have all my paperworks and ID then half an hour back....damit that's going on the premiums!

Maybe that is worth $17, I think it is.

Funny thing is, AAE told me it's free to change but Perth Mint wanted to charge me $17.

They resend to the same address for free if requested...

I guess you could take a day off work and sit at home to wait for it.

Oh $17 only if you request for redirection to a different address after attempted delivery.

Aae called me yesterday and offered to redeliver it. I did not request this, but none of their options were any good. They offered to redeliver to the exact same address and it cannot be changed.

I ended up going in to pick it up myself instead. This was easier then taking a day off work.

Not sure about other states, but it is very far to go all the way to the Melb. airport.

For Sydney the depot is way out in the sticks in the West. Literally inaccessible unless you have a car and even then, long drive.

I have no problems with AAE when buying from DickSmith, they let the concierge sign for it or if absent, card me.

But Perth Mint must be specifically requesting AAE to follow these pain in the ass procedures.

The lady at the post office told me that if being delivered by AAE then they will go to Post Office if nobody home. Some courier companies won't do but she assures me AAE do so maybe you should ask why it isn't being left at Post Office unless of course you are unable to get to the Post Office before closing time, but if having to take time off to go to airports or depots then PO might be better option

Well the Delivery company, (can they be called a delivery company if I have to go to them?) Told me that bullion is a restricted product so only the sender can have it re directed.

Perth mint replied straight away to my email by saying that they would have it redirected for $12.

This is just a one off redirection and I have to send in a letter authorising them to amend all future deliveries to the new address or just change the address next time I make an order.

Sadly not true! At least in this instance. The tragic thing is that there is even a 'Post Office' option on the card they left me, they had to have driven past the post office on their way back to the airport with my package.

Perth Mint has been very helpful in getting it redirected to me but I can't understand why they use this 'service' in the first place, I am sure it must be an insurance thing because I can't believe it is due to public demand!

Glad I didn't pre sell any!
