    Hi,

I am wondering whether CGMiner supports CPU mining? (For digging DOGE)

I'm new to mining and I know the configuration must be set according to the video card.
In my case, the video card is an "on board" version, but my strong CPU could do the trick - I guess. If it works with the CPU, I might install a new video card.

What settings do I need to set for CPU, if it works?

Many thanks if someone can help.

you need to download cpu miner..

most of the pool provided the link for it.

just download the sfotware, and set up the .bat file and off you go.

if you are paying for the electricity, forget about it.. it costs more than what you are getting for the doge or whatever the crypto out there.

if you have vast array of idle server.. then you got yourself a little income producing asset..

doge difficulty is now too high for cpu mining. better to aim for maxcoin or quark or another cpu only coin.

I was explicitly asking about some specifications for CPU mining.

    Gosh... no-one reads posts here!

I was asking precisely: whether "CGMiner supports CPU mining", because the specifications were mostly for video cards.

Anyway, I think it's not much worth, I see hardware costs aren't justified and the power costs are too high etc. etc.

And long88 kindly tried to help you out by suggesting you download a program called CPU miner

What do you think a program called CPU miner would be used for ?

If you are not satisfied with the crypto support service provided on silver stackers then you should use the much better support service called Google
