Yeah, kicking myself. Bought in about an order of magnitude lower than where it is, sold the next day for a loss. Currently have a position in them bought at a much higher price. The idea of operating a masternode is very attractive, but you are up for considerable financial exposure to every wannabe hacker looking to score 1000 DRK.
in a bad way if youre not hodling, good if you have some...it has exploded and set to take number 2 spot from litecoin.
Yep depends on whether you hold them or not. I personally am spitting all flavours of chips at the moment, having bought for a song compared to current price a while back and then selling out to purchase a flash in the pan ( I Missed the Flash BTW). I wish I had held right now based on current price. Is it the anonymity factor or just a short term market trend like Aurora do you think ? It look's like a sustained and supported rise based on the former but...... I am interested in what others with a lot more experience in the fickle DC world think.
I was wondering why DRK was not discussed here before. Its not a PD coin as it was seen 1000 times before in crypto world. I am holding since it was at 0.0013 and sold only a few in daytrading. As i always have a good doing in daytrading i lost around 70 within this game. But to be honest, i wouldnt buy in now. On the other hand i will not sell some of mine until itll get a big big cake. I dont want to do such a shit as buying a pizza @10,000 BTC, i want the bigcake
One of the Ripple founders just PGP signed a message that he will be dumping all his ripples. I believe the founders have more XRP's than the rest of the population combined. So with this announcement, people dumped their XRP before the GREAT dump. I'm speculating that a large chunk of this went into DRK.
And this is why I think XRP dump contributed to the DRK pump: That's a 7-day graph of ripple and darkcoin superimposed on each other. They look very well mirrored.
According to the DarkCoin block explorer, the genesis block was created 2014-01-19 01:40:18 - http://explorer.darkcoin.io/chain/DarkCoin?count=100&hi=0 Only 21 hours later, 4100 blocks had been mined? - 2014-01-19 22:08:36 (Value out = 500) http://explorer.darkcoin.io/chain/DarkCoin?count=100&hi=4100 That's 195 blocks/hr? It is supposed to be 24 blocks/hr? (every 2.5/min) Also, 500 coins were issued per block up until around #4100? Is that 2,000,000 coins created within the first 21 hours? Move forward 15 hours later to block 4520, and only 56 coins are issued per block? - 2014-01-20 13:22:38 (Value out = 56) http://explorer.darkcoin.io/chain/DarkCoin?count=100&hi=4520 Isn't there only 4.5M in existance today? Also from - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.0 Does anyone know if the source has been released? Edit - I found more on the 2M coins issued within first 24 hours - https://darkcointalk.org/threads/the-birth-of-darkcoin.162/ It seems it was a mistake. However, 2M coins were still issued to miners within the first 24 hours it would seem.
Darkcoin has forked. Devs working on it. http://www.reddit.com/r/DRKCoin/comments/26jec4/the_network_is_forked_and_the_devs_are_working/
my power bill is fine. I told you my sweedish meatball brain friend those grid seeds are a waste of money you will never get a return on them. I can still get a good amount back for my cards but more importantly I can mine other algo's lol like I said a fol and their money are soon parted.
