I just want to voice my anger at ego2spare

How dare you invade my auction and make the comment you did, in threatening to upload an identical coin. Why would you go into someone's auction and say such things? If you didn't have the money to bid on the coin, why spoil my chance of selling the coin.

Based on this behavior, if this is NOT stamped out, I personally will never advertise a coin on this site again.

    Cheers. Carry on.

I assumed you were mates having a joke. Obviously not, which makes that pretty rough.

I agree with ego2spare it is a boring ( I would go as far as shady) way to conduct an auction.

Cant believe Im saying this but I agree with Court Jester.
There was a previous thread in relation to to undisclosed reserves/pm bids which many responded to with - never bid on, not transparent, etc.
Perhaps having an auction with your reserve as start price in future with thread bids might be received better.

Your point of the comments by the offender bear merit but look at what induced them- a (potentially shady) private auction with an undisclosed reserve.

You were running a silent auction where the seller could potentially play one buyer off against another. I was interested until I read the details. I then lost interest immediately.

Keep it transparent and everyone is happy seems to be the general consensus.

I have to agree with CJ too.

Also, I like transparent auctions. No shifty business going on, not that I'm suggesting that Silverlicious was trying to do that. I never go in one of those hidden auctions again. I once did and seller kept telling me he got higher bid as I kept increasing and I thought my highest bid was higher then what it was worth.

Hehehehe this is a thread :p

I was thinking about bidding on the 5oz rabbit but your auction seemed dodgy as hell so i wanted to know the price.
Then when i asked the bid. U replied "how about I just remove it from sale forever?" Which was weird, cos it had nothing to do with anything. And made it seem like u had the only known coin in existence and that i should profusely apologize or i would wreck this once in a life time chance for everybody. Like it was my fault u turned the car around so now everyone on the forum would miss out on ice cream. :(
So to remind you that u dont have the only one i said that i could sell one also.
Then u said i wont sell it cos i only have one and that i should f**k off
Ill admit my next post was just to try to piss u off and make me laugh.
your next post after that proved my last post might have worked so it made me smile :)
I just thought your action style sucked.
And I do not want to sell the same coin on your thread wtf?
This is the first ever thread ever dedicated to me. I have always wondered if and when this day would come. Thank you silverlicious :)

Pretty poor form to piss on other people's sale threads, even if you don't agree with their interpretation of the word auction

if you don't like the rules you don't have to participate - just keep out of the thread

Nah it was a shit auction and to most onlookers shady as shit.

This whole "if you don't like the rules, then don't bid" crap is a cop out.

    Wakey wakey.

It is this kind of attitude that sooner or later morphs into eBay.

From the outside looking in .....I looked at the auction....
    1. Yes, it is his auction and he can choose to use the 'reverse' method if he likes. That is his business and no-one else.
    2. Yes, if others do not like this particular kind of auction then they are under no obligation to participate.
    3. Yes, every one has opinions on this method but it does not mean that the person holding the auction wants to read it.
    4. Yes, this is a public forum so expect opinions.
    5. No, it is not o.k. to abuse others on this forum, no matter how slighted or disrespected one may feel.

In summary, the incident relates to the last 3 points. Both failed on two of the last 3 points.
