Yes it has probably been asked before, thanks in advance for pointing that out. I searched the forums and a lot of posts are from 2012/2013 which doesn't help me. I have been looking at bullion prices online in the UK, with Vat one ounce of silver can be sold for $40 plus Australian. Is there any cheaper way around this? I have heard gold is exempt from Vat,is this correct? I am taking some silver with me, do you envisage I will have any problems going through customs?
Guys in the UK don't really buy silver from the UK because of the VAT, the odd single coin or small order possibly but anything substantial is got from Europe where VAT is either free or reduced. Silver-to-go in Germany is a fav or Goldsilver.be in Belgium is currently the cheapest around.
