Doesn't anyone know where to get some 1/4 oz 2014 Libertads? I'm looking for 50 or so, APMEX is out and eBay seems like the only source but only 1 or 2 at a time. I'm in the US but would pay international shipping if it's not too crazy expensive.
The 5-oz'ers that I saw went fast here in the US. They weren't cheap. And these were just the BU -- never mind the proofs. Agreed: They need to focus on increasing production a bit. For most if not all sizes. Disappointed there doesn't seem to be a kilo BU this year.
Have you checked Australia Post shopmate? Shop with a US postal address. https://shopmate.auspost.com.au/
I just went thru some of the goods I have, and totally forgot about the roll of 2012 - 2 oz Libertads I bought almost most 2 years ago for 66.00. This was when spot was a loooooot higher. And not sure if eBay is selling them for this much, but APMEX has them for like 82.00 a piece. wow! Not a bad investment.
FYI, I only pay average USD130 for the first 4 lowest mintage of 2 oz BU libertard. USD60 for 2014 2 oz. If buy in tube much cheaper. Likely 2014 mintage of 2 oz will be much lower than 2012 which is the 3rd highest mintage from 1996 to 2013.
I'm not a fan of the libertads. I bought them for kicks back in the day because they were on sale. I just forgot I had them in my inventory. These will be the first I unload when the price of spot goes up.
The 5-oz is gorgeous, IMO. Itching to get a BU kilo. Almost picked up a 2012 earlier this year. When I do get one, I'd prefer it to be a current year. I hope they return to production of those.
Possibly the best after market treatment I've seen on a silver coin to date: http://www.ebay.com/itm/351304564877 .
That's not bad looking, but his COA is a bit sketchy, with the heading colorized libertad and issuing country under it, it makes it sound like an officially issued colorized coin. The mintage on something like this is irrelevant IMO, I can go to my garage and smash 10 coins with a hammer can call it a mintage of 10.
I don't do colorized, and wouldn't pay those prices, anyway.. But that seller's got some pretty cool stuff! Nice coin.
