What would happen if thieves ram-raided it? Heard stories of that happening to cash atms in Sydney a few years ago
Just by looking at it from the clip, I'd guess its solid as anything. It would weigh at least 1200kg empty and have all the wonderful sophisticated security features money can buy, re-lockers and such. Good luck to anyone ramming it
IN CHINA ? Probably death by a bullet to the back of the head and the family imprisoned for life by the end of the week. They dont mess around with due process or mitigating circumstances , even the crime is state controlled.
What would happen is the four or five guys needed to jack it would split the $100k worth of gold inside evenly and end up with $20k-$25k each in return for a possible 10 year prison sentence. Assuming they got caught and the gold was never found, they'd be "earning" $2,500 per year while they were banged up. Basically, you'd be significantly better off on the dole than ripping off an ATM, regardless of whether it dispenses cash or bullion.
