Found some $2 and $5 paper notes - not uncirculated and I'm just wondering if there are any numbers that are rare enough that the condition doesn't matter. They're not trashed but definitely not unc either.

    Cheers

First and last prefixes, The RBA has some on their website but only back to 1992 http://www.rba.gov.au/banknotes/collecting/serial-info/1992/index.html

If there aren't too many just post the serials and anyone with a copy of McDonalds should be able to give you a rough idea if they are worth keeping.

    Radars e.g. 123321
    Solids e.g. 111111
Test notes etc. are more interesting but most are only worth face value.
