Over 5000 registered users and we have 25 signatures only. Speaks volumes of some of the Members on this forum - (looking directly at you ll). Wanker.
Those statistics speak for themselves. Indeed, it speaks for the 5000 - 25. Thanks for making my argument for me. Wanker??! From the likes of you, insults of that nature are a compliment. Like I said before, dry your eyes princess.
Tell Max Keiser we want our Gold back, Then get him to go to the Bank & ask for it on our behalf, he's in the old town
Signed and sent a tweet to all my 14(loyal) followers . Out of curiosity, is this only open to Australian citizens? My guess is that it will be as it is a national issue, but how can they determine where they are from. Don;t want to get the 35000 and find out it is invalid because a certain percentage were from overseas.
Another good observation! I really don't know how they would differentiate between whether people are in Australia or not, but the requirement is only for name and email address. Regarding the 35000 signature target, that's just an arbitrary number that I thought would get political attention. I hope there are that many aware people in Australia.

I have been on holiday and missed this. I think you have put too much in and should have just kept it to getting the gold back. You will only have a chance of a politician picking this idea up if it is simple because in a TV sound bite they can only get a simple idea across. Holding our gold on our soil has populist appeal but all the other stuff to a non-PM literate person just sounds "conspiracy". The RBA by the way is one of the most transparent in reporting what it does with our gold - how much is leased, the ratings of those it is leased to, how much return it gets from the leases. I doubt the 79 tonne that is not leased is held as unallocated.
Yes, unfortunately it might be too complex for the average person to comprehend. Are you saying the petition title or the petitioned actions are too complicated? The title: Petitioned actions: The petition is published so it is not really possible to change it. But I have a feeling that as this year progresses, both the issues and the call to action will be better understood by many. ZIRP and QE will tend to have a focusing effet on the attention of the average person this year I reckon. The success of the petition is now a matter of Promotion I believe.
61 Now, 31 Last night alone! Nice work Gino & GP! If every one who signs this also shares it on across the interwebs somehow this thing will rebound back an forth across the nation and will not go unnoticed.
Just checked and there are now 71 signatures collected and it is 7th in the rankings of "Hot Petitions" on the site. Although I'm not sure what the Hot criteria is, it sounds encouraging. I have emailed details of the petition to: - Gold Standard Institute - Silver Doctors - Max Keiser - The Daily Reckoning - Liberty Australia; and - Jason Hommel ! But signatures accelerated as soon as GP posted the link. Thanks again GP.
