Ignore it (IMHO) unless you are a good trader. Shares on issue are big, retail ownership is big, history of raising money via placements IMO risk/reward ratio is better elsewhere A lazy $500 might be well placed in some smaller companies at the right time, but dont waste it on movement Concentrate on resource size/land size, cash on hand, burn time and managment If they cant survive for a few more years (2) without raising money - I say dont bother If they can and are trading at cash or near cash value (with a decent resource grade) the odds are in your favor This market is too undervalued to prop up undiserving companies who are sucking up investment dollars away from the quality companies. GOR should have had a different business model, their land is too big for such a small company, they should have farmed the projects out and retained royalties and percentages. Managment (IMO) are not wise.
I use to own em from 2010 - 2012, I had a lot of issues with how the managment were running the company. They have so much land - and want to explore it all themselves. I really believe the best way to use the company was to farm out descoveries and turn themselves into a royalty company. As it is they have had to inflate their shares to handle such a large land holding. Really annoyed me, trying to generate hype through media releases. I had another look recently and they seem to have some good drill results, but once bitten twice shy.
they do have a joint venture going with Sumitomo for up to 8 million in exploration on one of their prospects. I keep an eye on them for future reference.
Between GoldRoad and BRB (i think they are called Breakaway Resources) you can own a stake in the ENTIRE area... Breakaway consolidated the tenaments to the west or Gold Road. Beadell has land around there (south) and obviously AngloGoldAshanti/IGO JV in the south.
