http://www.silber-corner.de/index.php?p &info=1098 I thought I would get some of the controversial 1oz Privy Dragons to bring along to the meetings (and stick one in the Dragon collection). The site is in German, no surprise there then but most sites Google Translate can have a bit of a crack at. Not so much on this one. Anyway it looks like I made it through registration and ordering but when it got to the place that you would usually have the option of paying and entering your credit card details, it just finished. Anyway they have sent me about 3 seperate long emails but I did not see the word Visa, Paypal or Mastercard mentioned once. I did see the word IBAN so I have a nasty feeling it is going to be some sort of international bank transfer thingy, and if I had known about that I would have ordered some more to make it worth the effort. Anyone used them? How do you pay? and finally, can you send money to banks abroad online, if I have to go to the bank to do this it might just alert my wife to the fact I am buying silver again.
Edit, never mind. Didn't know you already put your order through. Never dealt with them but Ozbullion is selling those for $45 each or $880 for the roll. Unless they're way cheaper at silber-corner
They work out at about 34 euros each, about $42 plus whatever my bank is going to charge me. I saw some ads for them but it was about 3-4 weeks lead time and I figured I wanted them a bit earlier. Cheers
Use ozforex to send money. You get better FX conversion rates and lower fees than your local BIGRIP 4. All you do is ring them up, put in an order for Euros and you pay them via BPay and they will wire the money for you. (I have registered for ozforex but never used them because I use paypal for most of my buys OS)
There will be even more available in Australia soon as I am bringing in 10! Should work out at around $43 delivered to my door, once I can work out the bank transfer thingy! Cheers, I have registered at Ozforex (they have a special service for small timers, Oztranzfers or something like that) Also registered at my bank so I will see which one has less fees. Link is not working, it should take you to the Lion Privy Marked 1oz Bullion Dragon, not the 5oz proof coloured thing, apologies!
I'm surprised you managed to get coins sent from Germany, I've been trying to buy some other coins but they refuse to send to Australia.. i think it about insurance issues.
I did not realise that they were being sold by the Perth Mint, it was my understanding that these 200,000 were all for an overseas retailer and had been specially made for them and were all being shipped out to them. What is going on there then, were they a Perth Mint product which a major retailer abroad got first pick of the bulk, or where they made for an overseas seller and there were a few left over? Anyway, I bought them and paid by about 24/25 Feb and they turned up today, 16th March, so about 3 weeks, which isn't bad! No problems with the company, other than the language barrier, if the euro tanks or the AUD skyrockets I might go back for a few.
They selling now Privy Dragons for 28.87 Euro ~ 33 AUD . +30 Euro delivery to Australia. CHEAPPPPPPPPPP
That is very cheap! Do you pay any tax on them? I was asked if there was a way of claiming tax back but I wasn't actually sure if it was a taxed item in Germany, couldn't find any mention of that on the invoice.
From my previous experiences you usually tell them that you are outside EU and ask them to remove VAT on the invoice. Then pay that.
if you do it via BIG4 banks 1 privy dragon pc will cost you ~ 38-39 AUD (for the quantity: 30-40) More you oder, less it cost
