Hi, Last Adelaide stacker meet I was offered a set of scales from a fellow stacker ( and I'm really sorry I cant remember your name) could you send me a pm. Thanks
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/B05-200g...cal_Scientific_Equipment2&hash=item4606e27d5a These are 200 x 0.01 grams. More accurate than 300 x 0.01 grams and under $10 delivered.
Has anyone bought/used these scales? My old set just made a trip to the bathtub thanks to my 2year old son These for under $10 i'm not expecting much accuracy, hell that won't even buy me pint at the local pub these days (Thanks Julia G) Any suggestions of ones with a range to 1kg (ish)
$7.89 WITH free postage!! WTF!? My 0.01g scales are Palmscale 300 which was under $80 delivered. I'm pretty happy with it.
I bought a set of the "GP-approved" 0-300g scales discussed in this thread http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-1961-digital-scales.html. Very happy with my scales. Even though they only weigh upto 300g, there's a trick you can use to weigh a full 10oz bar/coin - see the thread for details.
I have the 300 x 0.01 gram ones. They are accurate to at least 0.02 grams. If they were not usefully accurate I would not be able to weigh, store and sell my gold nuggets which need much more accurate readings than someone weighing or doing specific gravity testing on bars or coins. The 200 x 0.01 gram ones Ive highlighted work well. A detecting friend has a set and has had no probs. He has owned them for 3 years so they dont die in the arse quickly (batteries aside). But hey, what do I know?
