Who would you put your money into if you were to "invest/Risk" it today ? Interested only in Aus owned companies and not bothered with dividends preferably Aus based also.
Dr Alex Cownie of Diggers and Drillers newsletter (paid subscription) has quite a bit of up to date information in this regard.
Stocks: AYN - Silver producer Texas (QLD). Has a nice plant setup with a fair size resource/grade. Has a good tenement portfolio and will be looking to discover more sizable resources to feed their existing plant. SVL - Silver explorer northern NSW. Has hit a sizable resource with very high grade (in modern day terms). This resource is open at depth and in various directions. Plenty of potential to expand current resource along with discovering more resources in the region. CCU - Silver producer western NSW. Sizable resource/grade. The most advanced silver only producer in Aus. Less speculative than SVL. KCN - Gold producer with Silver Assets. Operations in Aus, Thailand and Chile. Great longer term potential with this stock! Low cost gold producer = greater profit margins = greater dividend. Also is sitting on 100m oz of AG in NSW. GOR - Gold explorer in a new region of WA. Has some great tenement ground with HUGE potential to hit it big. These guys have explored something like 1% of their tenements yet have about 1m/oz eq of Gold. Check out this company's investor presentation on their website. Nice speccy play. $1000 on each with minimum hold period of 3 years IMO DYOR however. My 2c worth.
Thanks people I like the look of some of those, will have to put my thinking cap on now and do some research. Whats the sting for subscription there ? have read good things about them.
I wouldnt touch AYN or SVL, GOR is a chance I would swap those for a selection CAS, BDR, MRP, RRL, SLR CAS and MRP are my picks (DYOR)
If you google his name and newsletter, you'd be able to get the details. Not sure how much the subs are as I think there was an offer on the last time I had a squizz.
It comes down to risk and reward. Plenty of great speculative options for the Ag/Au explorers/producers. It all comes down to the goal of the individual. That said...southerncross has a swag of stocks to chose from with everyones input.
Ive been reading the stocks threads since i came here & i seen AYN , SVL & CCU mentioned a long time ago as good spec plays . How have they performed over the last year since they were recomended ?
Simple Answer. They are probably half the value as they were last year. But* I've bought all mine in the last 2 months so my portfolio is up. High Risk - High Reward.
Using my dodgy memory, when I first saw them mentioned, CCU and SVL were 7c and AYN 2c. Today they are 62.5c, 5.3c and 4.8c respectively after coming from from their highs.
Geez for the amount of charts & graphs i see in the stocks section & when asked about how something that was recommended has fared you get about half or using my dodgy memory :/ .. .....any graphs on them would be appreciated
Here's CCU. http://www.asx.com.au/asx/research/companyInfo.do?by=asxCode&asxCode=CCU#chart Amazing website the ASX. Has lots of stuff about all sorts of stocks. Graphs at no extra cost.
