See below mintage figures for the 5ozers : 2008 Mouse : 3,005 2009 Ox : 4,720 2010 Tiger : 14,553 2011 Rabbit : 8,030 2012 Dragon : 31,664 You can clearly see the difference of mintage between the Dragon and the previous years
Thanks, there is one on eBay at the moment for $790. I'm gonna leave it because it has a few scratches but it might be a bargain
Would someone be dumb enough to remove a 1/2 kilo coin from its original capsule? How else would obvious scratches be made other than through handling the actual coin? .
2oz mouse available at KJC for $695 https://www.kjc-gold-silver-bullion.com.au/CT/1-2oz--2oz-and-5oz-silver-coins/14
Perhaps instead of the 1/2 kilo, this would have been the best Mouse to buy in 2008.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Australian-...402?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item54004ac6ba Truly a scarce coin. If only I could go back in time. .
it could be just an accident, dropped it, capsule cracked and the sharp edge injured the mouse's skin buy a new capsule, but the injury could not be cured
Had a couple of 10oz coins arrived with broken capsules, ordered replacement capsules and carefully swapped them, the coins are still in immaculate condition
Well what would be a fair market price for this particular coin? I have sporadically (out of curiosity) checked for sales of 1 kilo proof lunar coins on the web but have not seen the Lunar Mouse listed for sale anywhere except this one seller. In comparison, the 2008 1 kilo silver proof Panda is a common coin. With a mintage of 4,000, it's a difference of 2239.181 % from the 171 minted kilo proof Lunar Mouse. I would love to own the kilo proof Lunar Mouse; I could make an offer to the seller but what would be a fair marker offer for such a scarce coin? .
