Have heard of one croc being just slightly milk spotted... Though sounds more like they're covering their arses on all bases to minimize returns for a bullion coin.
Some people have gotten scratches on their crocs, not the dealer's fault. That's just a disclaimer so that if you do get a croc, you can't blame providentmetals for it and ask for a refund.
I have cracked a couple of tubes and they all seem fine. However the tubes have about an 8mm Gap , these tubes rattle like an exhaust on an old tractor!! You will hear them before you see them. With that much movement in the tubes they are bound to get some type of blemish.
This is exactly what I see happening. They are the same quality as the oz america alliance 1\2 oz that has milked so I started a thread based on that assumption
Perhaps the Perth Mint has outsourced their production to Canada ? Seriously they are cheaper and packed in tubes without capsules. What is everybody expecting ? I can see graded and slabbed crocs appearing soon.......
Would rather pay a few bucks extra to get kooks in capsules in a nice tight shrink wrapped roll. Comes back to the old saying 'you get what you pay for'.
Am talking about full tubes mate. All our singles are available in capsules. The tubes need a foam peanut on the top to take up the gap, which is about 8mm.
Yeah I'd go with rolls instead, everyone does tubes but who does rolls. I remember when I had an alliance tube it had a piece of foam for the gap but not with the sharks and I agree that the rattle is annoying
The Crocs are design in such way for LP bullion coins. Perhaps pm encounter the problem earlier when purchasing huge amount of Blanks ( with problems), knowing that decided to make something out of the Blanks so not go to waste or have to remelt them again. That's why they are frosted/ satin finish to hide all those blemished.
Ordered 2 tubes + 1 to look at yesterday. I guess I'll be looking at all 51 of them :/ I was hoping to leave them in the sealed tubes...not sure what to do now.
