do you mind me asking where you sold them for that much? I am on ebay a lot and I havnt seen them sell for quite that much. the most I have seen is $132
well on another note, I will try and throw JamesG some business whenever I can. Great of him to offer at the price he did, clearly not in it to screw everyone down to the last cent.
Well guys a heads up, if you want any at a reasonable price check these out http://www.downies.com/Australian-C...-Coins/2014-1-Mint-Roll/5692/productview.aspx You can send me your commissions later
I think its another case of either looking for a quick flip while the hype is up, or holding for 10+ years and hoping it develops in to a desired release in the long term. I don't think prices will be very high this time next year.
just ordered some from Downies as James had run out from what I can see on ebay at this price i can not go wrong cheers chicken
well they accepted my order at 4.30pm WA time so hope I got in, just checked the website thay are still for sale
I was being told...at the first launch in Melb...there was 5000 roll. Whether the re roll again for the Sydney event...i have no idea. At the other forum..there someone asking RAM for clarification...but no definitive answer.
Cheapest now is $55/roll. I would say its going downhill from Here...untill the primary market is dried up...and secondary market in play.
Are you new here?! Surely you must be aware that you only make a loss if you sell it!? That's what I tell myself as I look at my stack... But I am happy with the ones I bought from James, $29 seems to have been the best buy so far, I have sold one roll to a friend of mine but I only got $29 for it!
Dealers surely paid face value, but they have to make a proft, so I think the 30-40 price range was right in that regard. The RAM really needs to not make more of these or they risk people being put off far too much on future releases, or on coin collecting in general IMO.
I have heard that the Mint used the 2014 mint rolls as a lure to get dealers to attend their conference and that is how the dealers ended up getting them. Used as a bait to encourage attendance at the Mint's meeting.
