I am aware that official mintage numbers for the 2011 Lunars still are far away, since we are still waiting for the figures for the tigers.

However, I am curious about how the suspension of the minting of this size has affected the final mintage of the 2011 5 oz Lunar rabbits. I have noticed here and there that people are talking about how this might be a sleeper with an especially low mintage, but I imagine that this will still be just a rumor for another 12-15 months. So, in the meantime, how many here have this coin in their stacks? What do you feel about its potential? How many would you guess were minted in the end?

As a reference I noticed that the previous 2 lunar year 5 oz coins also had fairly low mintages:

    3005 x 5oz Bullion Lunar Silver Mouse Coin 2008
    4720 x 5oz Bullion Lunar Silver Ox Coin 2009

Would be happy to hear from any of you. I really like coins in the 5 oz size, it really let's you appreciate the design, and the heavy feel to it is really nice...

Wow, 86 views and no replies so far! I am starting to think these are wascally wabbits. Is there no love for 5 oz coins? I think I saw someone selling one on here a few days ago, so there should be at least two people here that know something about them...

Thanks, people!! It's nice to know it's out there. What do you think about the possible mintage?

I have 2, wish I had more, but I suppose I should try and get the others in series 2 now.

What would be a fair price for the 5 oz rabbit? Very hard to say, isn't it?

Wow, the colorized must really be rare. I only have the 2oz colorized, but imagine those are more common.

On German eBay the mouse is the most expensive, followed by the ox, tiger is third, and the rabbit. The dragon is the cheapest.

Yeah I have 1 and 2oz colored and the 5oz colored. The 5oz colorized I think will have a tiny tiny mintage.

Thanks, that's the first time I've seen it. Someone who asks 235 euro, like 315 aud, I guess. Seems like most of those listed have gone unsold.

I bought 5 2011 rabbits and 5 2011 kooks 10 oz. I sold off 3 of each on ebay for a quick double so remaining cost me nothing. I do have 2 of the 5 oz as well. They stopped minting both the 5oz and 10oz. All were a low premium from gainsville at the time. I have to think these are going to have a nice pop. By the way first time into this forum. Looks like a good one.
