Would you be able to sell a 1kg bar anywhere except back to the mint?
Obviously the buy back price isn't good so would you end up with a 1kg door stop?

You would be able to swap the 1kg bar here on the forum for silver or smaller gold or maybe even for fiat.

and i think from memory we did have one such mega transaction take place here on SS.

small fry to most bullion dealers, easily liquidated but austrac would most probably be informed of your purchase and sale

They have been traded and sold here before.

But I wouldnt buy one due to liquidity.

I guess, however, if you had $1m in gold then it wouldnt be such a big deal.

I am fairly sure you'd be able to move it in a private sale if you look around hard enough :)

It must be nice worrying about where to offload your 1kg gold bars :p

I will just keep worrying about getting 1kg gold bars.

    BUZZ

I'm open to a swap of 1oz for a kilo (modest premium)

Can include mixture of sovs $200 maples and nuggets, or just pure nuggets.

    Ck.

Edit: I think I just BUZZED a kilo of gold on my 3000th post

judging by the amount of offer you get even without you putting up an offer, i doubt liquidating a kilobar is that difficult
