I have had great difficulty in purchasing a number of 2014 Silver mexican libertad bullion coins through any bullion dealers in Australia. Recently I was advised by a Bullion Dealer in australia to consider buying via ebay or international bullion dealer. As im only after a single coin of the following sizes: 1/2 oz, 1 oz, and 2 oz bullion coins. However from what I can tell alot of the US bullion dealers either wont ship to australia or impose an extremely high minimum order making it unviable. What do others recommend I do to purchase these 2014 libertad coins?
See if you can find a US-based member here who's willing to purchase these on your behalf and ship them to you via USPS.
Choice bullion is a great site for international buying but their prices on bullion is crazy high........ Be better getting someone in Canada or USA to buy them for you and ship them I have no problem getting them here in Canada
I'd be glad to give you a hand. I've helped out members in the past and present. Shoot me a PM if you'd like. Seeing as you don't have any trading history I'd have to have the funds upfront.
For future reference, you need to buy earlier in the year when they are readily available. Single/couple of coins on ebay from Germany or Canada usually have postage similar to that within Australia
Really? they always run out by July - maybe with low silver they'll get more, but never seen it before.
It seems like there are delays this year from the Mexican mint on most of their proof and bullion products and only small quantities of 1oz and 2oz coins have hit the market so far, I havent' seen the 5oz bu selling anywhere let alone the proof coins...
ALL BU sizes are released, 1/20oz all the way up to 5oz. Most All dealers just got tiny fractions of what they requested of the 2oz and 5oz BU coins which is why you don't see a lot of them out there. As for proof coins, only the 5 Coin PF Sets are out right now, next week the PL Kilos and 7 Coin PF Sets will finally be out.
Yea 2014 Silver Libertads just been released here in Canada.......1oz ones only....I grabbed a bunch but stock seems to be slow.
I acquired some 1oz Libertads recently. Beautiful design but they lack fine detail. I enjoy the beauty but I mostly stack weight, so no worries. Seem to be easy to get, though. In comparison, also received some Canadian 25 year Anniversary coins and the detail was very impressive. I like US, Canadian and Mexican bullion coins but might later pick up some Aussie stuff and Chinese stuff.
APMEX is not the only one selling these (I've seen others recently) but they are apparently available to ship from some of those who are listing for sale: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-5-oz-S...96159?pt=US_Bullion_Coins&hash=item1c445661ff .
Unfortuantely we have had troubles getting sufficient qty and decent terms on the bullion version to date. We have a few 5 coin proof sets available, but again pricing is not great, sorry. I think the Mexican Mint is not really focussed on production of these in any sort of large quantity, (or do not have the metal avaialble!) Ben.
Just a heads up, We sourced some 2014 Silver Libertads, from all accounts there went many made this year and the Mint may have already stopped producing the 2014 silver coins... who knows. We have a small qty left. https://bullionmoney.com.au/products/mexican-silver-libertad-2014
