    Storage Advice

For pandas the mint capsule is domed-shaped so they wobble in the tube when they are stacked together. For the air-tite H tube you can store 20 air-tite capsules in it, but only 18-19 silver panda coins. The H tube fits kook/koala in their original Perth Mint capsule, silver pandas in mint...

since your coins are already in air-tites, just get the air-tite tubes to store your coins. Your coins will stack neatly in a tube. ;)

New 2014 Proof Britannia is an absolute beauty

when I bought my 2013 5oz proof Britannia last year, the advertised mintage was 1,150. When I received my coin the COA stated maximum mintage 4,650. Yes, 4x more than what I accepted. This year I placed order for my Britannias on the very day it was announced, but thankfully the mintage...

New 2014 Proof Britannia is an absolute beauty

yes I admired my 5oz Britannia so much that I just ignore the whole mintage thingy when I unboxed the Royal Mint parcel. :D By the way billionaires won't buy the 5oz proof silver Britannia, they have the gold proof 5oz to play with

What's on your "I wish I could find one for sale" list for 2014?

The 5oz proof gold Britannia is still available on Royal Mint website, so technically it is not difficult to source for one if you have the budget. :)

New 2014 Proof Britannia is an absolute beauty

In my email to Royal Mint, I actually protested that the mint should stop this First Struck practice. If they want to continue doing so they should put a note on the product specification that the first xxx struck coins were delivered to private dealers. However by endorsing and certifying...

Royal Mint Launches 2015 Year of the Sheep Gold and Silver Coins

I actually sent Royal Mint a similar email asking them if the mintage figures published on their product page are the actual maximum mintage or just mintages of limited presentation packagings. No reply from them yet. The proof 1oz lunar ship was stated mintage of 9,888 on Royal Mint's website...

New 2014 Proof Britannia is an absolute beauty

thanks mmissinglink, I guess First Struck do mean something. :) Royal Mint issued special COA for these First Struck coins, this is for the 1oz proof Britannia. Could it be Royal Mint themselves sent the first 500 coins to NGC? If not how would they know these will be graded? Source...

New 2014 Proof Britannia is an absolute beauty

well if you look from a different perspective... I can submit 200 coins, instruct NGC not to grade any below PF69. Stop grading once 150 coins were graded and slab all of them with the label "One of First 150 Struck". The rest leave it as regular PF grades for all I care. Now I get 150 first...

New 2014 Proof Britannia is an absolute beauty

by the way thanks mmissinglink for the info. "One of First 150 Struck" ain't too bad on the 2014 Britannia proof. I thought the label would be "One of First 750 Struck". On NGC census it was not mentioned that these 750 graded copies are First Releases. On the census these 750 graded copies...
