I know it is a bit cheesy, but I want some of these:

Any one from AU ordered from Provident before?

Any forum sponsors getting these in?

WOW! That certainly does provide a dramatic contrast to the NZ Mint Niue "Adorable Fluffy Baby Kitten" series!!

I'm surprised to see a traditional, reputable vendor like Provident going down to the level of being just one more
wannabe clone of the $B$$/Second Arrow/etc gang. That's out of character for them, but what the hey--anything
to make a buck and the more the merrier, I guess... More power to them.

I will agree with you that it is pretty cheesy, though.

I see this as being more in jest as opposed to SBSS and Second Arrow who attach political messages to their rounds.

Also, this is priced more like a round then collectable i.e. Free Reign

    One step further guys....

Interested to know what Mint is actually making these. I have an idea but would rather not stir the pot at this juncture.

Hint Hint....it's already in court documents.

Can't believe another dealer is getting entangled in this story. Amazing really.

montecristo4---You may be right. I find it hard to tell, though. Some of those gasbags take their alleged mission so
seriously it's not easy for me to be sure who's for real and who's laughing themselves silly all the way to the bank.
Although, as I think about it... they're probably ALL laughing themselves silly all the way to the bank! You're right
about the price, too. A $2/oz premium is relatively low these days.

Silvermed---Come on! Be a sport! Stir away! Throw some high-octane on the campfire!

I like to see companies not afraid to be different

personally I won't own a coin or anything with a negative message such as "stay calm slave on" but I love to see maverick things

    Maggie,

Are you going to import only these coins or do a Provident group buy?
I vote for the second. :p

All part of the Zombie craze I think and maybe not aimed so much at the politics. Assume that the other 9 will spoof other famous coins, wonder if they will restrict themselves the US coins or take on other world favorites? I like Provident and use them often. They also advertise that they minted the "Don't Tread on Me" rounds. Well I liked the design on that one but in my opinion, the quality was low. The edges on those rounds are so sharp that they were uncomfortable to hold. Would like to get a few of these but I may wait until someone else posts on the production qualities. At that price, hard not to pick up some just to add a little spice to the stack.

FYI, Provident does not manufacture. They are using the term "mint" in name only.

According to court records, Provident provided silver to Mulligan Mint to make rounds for them.

You can assume what you want from there.
