I have bought from Forum Sponsors here, bullion dealers in Sydney and Perth, coin shops and ebay. I scrounge around on a regular basis. I have managed to score a couple of trades with members here but mostly I blink and miss it. I also have put word out at work.. "crazy guy paying big bucks for round 66 50's". so far I have had a few promises but only 1 coin has emerged.
You should find a local dealer, I have one I have used since 1983 and they always have the lowest preminum. You can find some deals on ebay, but it takes time. Also you can trade with other stackers.
If they want to unload more than I can afford I will give you a heads up for sure I got about 10 of my friends that hang out at my tattoo shop buying one of my buddies I swear it changed his whole financial outlook and habbits
I am in the US. If I was in AU, my list would be totally different. Tulving - Large purchases (Minimum quantities are 20oz or more Au and 500oz or more Ag) Keep in mind that I buy for a lot of friends and clients. Providentmetals - Smaller purchases (lower than Tulving minimum quantities) Provident has provided extremely good service so far, beating out everyone else on this list. Cheaper shipping than Gainesville or Apmex on orders less than $25k and their bid/ask quotes are usually less inflated than the others. Gainesvillecoins - Lunar coins not offered by Tulving. Tulving doesn't carry many Lunar coins. Gainesville has the highest inflated bid/ask quote of any site I watch. They can be .10 over the ask spot on silver. Apmex, Ebay, clients - Specialty coins and random purchases. I buy from whomever I can get the best deal. If anyone has any US suppliers that offer better pricing than the ones listed above, I would love to learn about them. I learned of Provident form someone on this or another message board.
