    Hi all

There's only 3 months left till September, so I'm interested in knowing your purchasing plan when the dragon bullion release? If you have 10K to spend would you spend it all on 1oz gold since gold bullion has smaller mintage and might sold out faster or a mixed of gold and silver? If I had that amount, I think I would spend it all on 1oz gold then save up more fiat for the 1oz silver.

    What are your thoughts?

    Cheers

Correct me if I'm wrong... but I think he's asking if anyone's gonna be joining the frenzy on the Lunar Dragon releases....

I for one wont be, I hate queues! For me its gonna be a gold rush at the EOFY tax return, then some more silver, half keys and full keys... but pretty ones only... :D

My plan exactly...either buy off some repuatable dealers straight off the bat or online directly, not gonna queue!

Not a big fan of Gold, will hoard silver ones ;)

To buy 21 silver dragons. (1 to play around with and a roll of 20 kept sealed)

    and 1 1oz gold dragon.

Very wise plan - might do something similar.... I like the ratio of silver to gold.

Will there be a limit on the number of 1oz gold and silver dragons individuals will be able to buy? I wonder.

Was it just the mintage or was it the design that made the last ones so expensive on the secondry market.

I would think that with the general interest in silver a lot more of these will be made this time so the resale value will all be riding on a cool dragon design.

I kinda like dragons, and the chinese ones are the best, (not having wings is their best attribute). If silver hasn't made a break for it by September I will join the hordes and grab some. I might go for one of the larger sizes as I think there will be less of them made and the detail will be better. Hopefully they will get a higher premium when I go to sell them.

It will be a post-GFC2 market, so I'm more likely to go for the gold dragons if I haven't already used up all my ammo. :p

Will they be doing kilos and 10oz versions?

The premiums they carry are worth stacking for.

(From what I've seen on ebay).

but are you all happy to wait 12 years to get the premiums the series 1 dragon commands? not to mention that there will be WAY more series 2 coins minted. think many people are going to be disappointed if they are buying for a quick profit.

For me it will really depend on the design, I remember someone mentioning series 1 was more oriental where as the series now looks a bit like out of some European bedtime story book.

Having said that at a minimum for me (saving up now!):

    1oz silver proof
1oz gold proof/normal (limited mintages from what I can see, other sizes unlimited?)
    21x 1oz silver

Can anyone tell me if there is some kind of Perth Mint list you can subscribe to for these things or is it a free for all once the date is released?
