Low-mintage older slabbed coin in great shape, great grade (only a couple higher at 1 level up), and attractively priced. Just doesn't come up for sale very often. Was watching the BIN listing for days, but kept putting it off for who knows what reason. Had the cash & everything. And then this disappointment, not too long ago.. Nabbed from under me. My heart sunk a little.. Though not like I haven't done the same to other watchers in the past. Ah, well.. Just part of the dance. Plenty of other fish in the sea, I guess. Still a bummer. Lesson learned.
Is it a kilo Snake? Might be worthwhile mentioning as someone here might have one or be able to get you whatever coin it is...
"Low-mintage older slabbed coin in great shape, great grade " "Is it a kilo Snake? tongue" no house I think he meant a real numismatic item like a 1952 6d in ms 65
I've always wondered: What would prompt somebody to even want a slabbed kilo? That thing must be huge.. No offense to anybody here, if that's the case. I just don't get it, is all. Different strokes, I guess..
I suppose if you were after a slabbed set you might want one but I couldn't see buying one. I keep thinking about getting a few of my coins graded but trying to pick a 68 from a 69 in hopes of maybe getting a 70 is just beyond me. I don't quite get it. Obviously if you had something really cool like a great looking 38 crown or first year Sydney out melbourne sov you might but sending bullion perth mint ounces for grading seems unnecessary.
Revenge is mine! I just disappointed 5 other watchers, with a completely different coin. Sorry, peeps! But, you snooze, you lose.. The End.
Some people prefer not to disclose traceable identifying information on a public forum of this type? Some people prefer not to disclose specific coin dealers who carry decent stuff, thereby preventing further buyer competition? Lack of common sense. Derrrrrppp derrrrrrppp..
What's traceable from the bidders/watchers on eBay? Only the seller would have that info and only for the winner. Nobody is looking for exact details, just the coin and price is all. The kilo Snake is not a real numi? Well now, that's shocking news to me
sorry to be the bearer of bad news house. if it makes you feel better I would be willing to help you out and swap a numi crown for your granny bait kilo snake.
Yeah, no, you're right.. Maybe somebody here learning from others who are simply sharing their past mistakes & experiences is a bad idea, after all.. My apologies..
Seems to me a thread like this should contain hard info...which it has not OR philosophy...where it could be going .GB,are you sure what your intentions were in the OP? Just askin'
Does it truly matter what the particular coin was? If I mentioned it was, say, a 1907 High-Relief Double Eagle, would that have changed anything? It could be anything for anybody possibly finding themselves in a similar situation someday. Bottom line, per my OP: It was something that I should have nabbed -- but didn't. And I lost out. (Yeah, I eventually picked up something else, but odds are was going to with that, anyway. Certainly didn't want to make the same mistake twice in one day.) If there's something you want, and can afford it at the time, then seize the opportunity before it passes you by. That's all. Sheesh. Done with the explaining & defending, as well as the nit-picking & name-calling. That's not what this thread is about. Carry on..
