I remember quite a while back that Yippee posted on one of the threads saying that you will never again be able to buy a 1kg silver pamp bar for under $1000AUD (at the time they were around $1300AUD if I rmember correctly) in relation to another poster saying he was waiting for the price to drop so he could buy 1 kilo pamps for under $1000.

Well Yippee you can now walk into many bullion dealers and buy a 1 kilo pamp for in the low $900 AUD range. A person who makes such a strong statement that it will never happen needs an appropriate dose of humble pie.

Can anyone find the post and the thread I am talking about? I just thought it would be fun to dish out some humble pie. :)

Yep, selling at the peak would be a big mistake as you'd never be able to buy back in.

Got anything that you want to panic sell Yippie? ;)

If we did that for everyone we'd be here all day making people eat humble pie, no point.

So... we've got two view points here:

Bargain Hunter is offering another member a sumptuous banquet, which delights the senses. :)

geewiz is suggesting that the member be allowed to starve. :( Furthermore, he does not believe in feeding large groups of people.

My inclination is towards generosity, rather than stinginess. :p

Geewiz there is a difference between saying you think something is unlikely and saying with unwarranted confidence that something will NEVER HAPPEN.

The old saying "never say never" springs to mind a lot when I'm reading about PM's - you see too many calls made with 100% certainty, and you can't help but think it will end in tears :|

Yippie was dangerous. Not just to himself but to newbies looking for direction.

Families may have been destroyed, and possibly even - horrible as it is to contemplate - suicides may even have happened. :(

To be honest, we do not *know* that this has definitely happened. But also, neither can we cavalierly dismiss it. We do not know... all that we can say at this point, is that he *may* have destroyed human lives... but we're not 100% certain. To be on the safe side, and the sympathetic side, its best that we feel sorrow for those innocent people whose lives may have been destroyed by Yippie.

whew whee... that was the toned down version :|

PS: So we've talked about his silver call. Does anyone know if Yippe made a similar call for gold, and if so what was the price? TIA.

    WTF are you talking about.

If you followed Yippies advice you'd lose a lot of money. That's about it.

I more I think about what may have happened, the more I think Yippe needs to start showing seriously some genuine remorse and repentance.

No more than any other perma bull speaker or commentator. Actually now that I think about the "idols" of the silver community are worse than yippee will ever be.

I think Yippie needs to get on here, have a laugh at himself, admit that he may have learned something and move on.

All this talk in the past tense, has Yippee been retired.

I just wanted to inform Yippee that my rent is coming in from my investment properties
