In all fairness.. Kitco 1911hrs EST $714 AUD.

I don't think many would pay $120+ for their "reputation".

I don't get this ppl who bid then realised spot has fallen.... Then retracted.... In real auction condition, any auction, you are committed to your bids (plus premium)...
Time-waster and ops should just ban these ppl as they treated this forum as jokes...

Agreed. If you place a bid then you have contracted to buy at that price. I have bought things and lost money before I even had the goods sent to me. Poor form for anyone to try to slip out of their obligations.

Try do this to house auctions, you'll be ripped from your deposit

Bid was made last Wednesday, now retracted... Go figure!

Bid house auction, then 10mins into it then retracted....what a LOSER!

I’m not normally one to do so since I don’t like to go off track to the OP’s thread, but I’ll speak since I’m qualified to do so.

OP had another auction for a 50oz bar, that I put a bid on. I realized about 24 hours before auction end that my bid was now WAY above spot price thanks to it falling since the start of said auction... however I chose not to delete/retract the bid, and won the auction. And I will be absolutely honouring that bid with no hesitation. A bid is a bid and I own that bid.

Good luck with the rest of this auction OP!

The auction is done. Whatever gets discussed beyond this point is OK with me.

The Trading Floor is seldomly used, which I've never quite understood

Paid up (99% trusted) members - next to zero chance you ever get mucked around with

I get it, you don't get as many people seeing your listing, but honestly, from what I've observed over the past few months around here I think that's actually a benefit

Integrity is an important element of trust between some ol' flesh bags. Posting a price in an auction is the same as looking someone in the eye, shaking their hand and saying: " I give you my word".
