Having the brass World Heritage #1 (Beijing Palace) already in my hands, I can attest that this series is pretty cool.

Totally *mega* ultra-high relief on both sides.. Probably nothing surpasses that, except maybe the relief on that one side of the Mammoth?

    Some nice detail, too.

The NGC's come in the large kilo slabs.

Would have loved to purchase the silver versions, but just not in the budget for me these days..

The brass is certainly a great substitute at a lower price-tag, IMO.

Yes, one of the brass Great Wall's is spoken for -- as is one of the Shenyang Palace's. ;)

    Looking forward to them both!

I really wish the Ag versions were in my budget at this time.. Sadly, they aren't. :(

Perhaps early next year? Though who knows if any will be available then.

If I were more comfortable with my short-term wallet, I'd put these on lay-away. :D

And don't get me wrong from my previous post..

My first choice has always been Ag.. Great for those who can afford the 300-gram'ers.

But if it's not in somebody's budget, brass is better than nothing, IMO.. It's not about the financial value of the brass / metal content, per se, but about the awesome 3D artwork.

Ag is hot, but antiqued brass in ultra-high relief is still pretty sexy, too.

Also, for those with the funds, matching pairs of Ag & brass would be even hotter -- and probably add that much more to future collector's premiums.

I try to do this with smaller medals (80g & 45mm), when possible. It's really cool seeing them sitting side-by-side.

Example (slabs are actually same size)..

I was just thinking about that recently, heh.. Was going to bump the thread.

I still think the front side is a bit too cluttered in one area, if that design isn't really changed much.

But it's been growing on me, just like #3 has (after seeing the photos & videos enough)..

This Shenyang is really cool.. Relief is monster!

Photos & video don't do it justice. Impossible to capture in a 2D format.

My only "complaint," which has held true from the very start, is that it's too symmetrical for my tastes.

Simply a product of the subject matter.

My favorite of this series is still Great Wall, but the way they use the angled stacked relief for the Shenyang is pretty awesome in its own right..

Stuff be poppin' off the medal, yo! :D

Yup, amazing medal! :D In the beginning this was my favorite one, but now I think it's also Great Wall. :)

Where is the next one? It was promised in summer. Chinese ran out of silver due to high purchases of barsenault? :p
