“The world’s second-largest primary silver producer, Tuesday reported that four mines in Peru are being temporarily suspended due to government-mandated restrictions.

The Peruvian government declared a state of emergency requiring a 15-day quarantine.

The mines are Shahuindo, La Arena, Huaron and Morococha. Pan American said it will conduct “care and maintenance” activities to make sure the mines remain ready to reopen.
