    So I came across something so amazingly awesome they had to go up for grabs.

    You will be bidding on one of two lots of Aristaloy by Engelhard dental amalgam. Vintage 70's items, one is still even sealed.

    Bidding will start at $50 each and the auction will end next Monday 15th July at 7:30pm AEST. 5 minute anti-snipe rule will be in effect. Good luck to all.

    Due to lack of interest, and the bid debacle, I am withdrawing this from auction. Any interested parties can still PM me and we can discuss.

    Interesting indeed.
    Does each bottle contain 1 oz of silver made up of little buttons with an A imprint?
    And is this .999 silver?
    Can you give us an idea of the size of these bottles?

    I'll upload a pic with a ruler in a bit but they're roughly 6cm tall, and no it's not .999 it's an amalgam.

    I guess with the open one I can remove everything and weigh the pellets on their own as I am not sure if it's 1 ounce of amalgam or 1 ounce ASW

    Possibly, there are about 5 patants by Engelhard but from reading the descriptions I could not determine which one was these. I think the patents are more related to the compositional make up of the amalgam as opposed to the packaging/product itself.

    Interesting read though, cheers for that
