The POS is in constant flux and at times it is difficult to pin an event down to either a rise or fall in pricing at the time. Hindsight is always a wonderful thing. If it does drop, IMHO, it will be minimal but more likely it will increase. It really is anyone's guess. On thing is certain, and that is that the price of oil will be higher in 3 months than it was last month.
I want it to drop a little bit so I can add to my stack sometime this week. I guess you are right anything can happen in the silver market.
If you are able to, consider a purchase at around 11:40pm-11:50pm this Tuesday. But don't do it AFTER midnight unless you are selling!
James Turk, who beautifully timed the POS rise from August 2010, has a new interview on KWN, calling for another big leg up in the near future, due to backwardation in silver.
Check out Ed Steer's Gold & Silver Daily and the archives. A lot of the time certain southerly moves take place on a particular day & time.
Good point Ridesags - I mean 11:40pm EST - Sydney time. (Sorry WAers!) The price often drops a bit around that time - sometimes hitting the low close to midnight, or sometimes a bit before - in fact you will sometimes start to see a 'slight' price decline by around 5pm to 5:30pm EST on the Tuesday afternoon. After midnight however you will probably see a strong rise - and hear a rousing cheer from those margin guys in the other forums! (corrected typo 12:40pm to 11:40pm, thanks Matthew 26:14 - sort of important that!)
$30.80 Aud @ 21.30 WST, and strong Ozzy dollar to boot. Maybe something is broken ? Bought a couple of boxes at noon for the SMSF at $ 30.52. Not that it will matter in a couple of years ;-)
Sorry gents, last night seemed to be one of those (quite) rare 'do nothing' Tuesday nights for JPM - no dip! (They seem to do that occasionally to let the longs begin to pile back in again - but watch out down the track!) I guess you'll just have to buy a monster box now, and claw back the price difference with a volume discount instead!
It was far from a do nothing night! Last night equaled the highest ever silver close, post Hunt Brothers.
