I wonder what a mainstream article on PM's would look like? The kind that lured in Aussies to property investment. Surely it couldn't contain words like fiat, or have big numbers or facts that the average bogan couldn't comprhend. It would have to contain smaller, more local, keeping-up-with-the-Jones's type language and examples. In my opionion, a billion dollars is meaningless to the mainstream Aussie, it isn't relevant to them. Nor are University Endowment funds, nor +600,000 oz of anything. It won't be until articles/writers start copying the RE spruikers that anyone in the wider community will start paying attention and acceptance spread to the mainstream.
"Coming up next after this quick break on Today Tonight, see how Mum-and-Dad Aussie investors are saying goodbye to costly investment properties with their dodgey tenants, and instead striking it rich in a 21st-century gold rush. Stay tuned."
This is almost perfect except one thing, Today Tonight does not deal with "Mum and Dad's" it only deals with "Single mums".
MSM articles look like pump and dump, time and again. They report on a major price spike, not a nadir
